My illustrations (and this poster) are all over the packaging of The Fall (2006) Limited Collector’s Edition 4K BluRay. Still trying to wrap my head around it, being able to work on something for a movie that’s been one of my favorites since I first saw it. My personal copies arrived a couple of weeks ago, and couldn’t be more thrilled 😌

Initially, they got in touch with me to create a poster I as an A3 poster insert, but later on asked if they could use my illustrations to design the whole package, from the custom rigid case, the custom slip case, the poster insert, the book cover, and tiny details on the photo post cards. Unreal.

While working on this, I mostly just wanted it to look like a dream, the way we (barely) remember dreams. Floating elements and isolated scenes, arranged in a way that mimics the feeling of being small inside something vast and imagined, while keeping it playful, not overthinking or being too careful. And that scene, that interaction at the top part of the poster, is everything. 🐒🦋👺
